How to Correct Invalid Service Facility Address when POS is 12-Home

Conditions: This INVALID message on the EB Summary Report occurs when you are using Place of Service, POS, 12-Home

ISSUE:  Client receives an INVALID message on the EB Summary Report: (144) Service Facility City, State, Zip.

CAUSE / INFORMATION: This error occurs when the Place of Service, POS, on the claim is 12 which is the Patients Home.

RESOLUTION:  Use the following process to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to Maint > Patient and pull the patient detail window.
  2. Go to the Address section and in the box beside the Zip code you will need to add the 4 digit zip code extension for this patients address. Then click Save in the Task Panel to save this change.
  3. Now when you to back to your EB Summary Report under Claims > Claim Processing EB you will no longer see the INVALID message for this Patient.

How to Create Orders from the Plan section of the Single-View Encounter

For practices that are utilizing our single-view encounter type, in version 19.0.3, we added the ability to create orders from the Plan section without needing to expand the full screen editor.

Here are the steps:

  • When the Single-View Encounter is open select the Plan section
  • Add an Order to the Plan by clicking on the lookup icon next to the Quick Lookup field ( )
  • Select the CPT code you want to add to the encounter and select the insert button
  • Select “Yes” under the “Create Order” column, next to the order description you just added to create the order
  • Once you save the Encounter the Order will be created
