Q3 2020: MicroMD PM & EMR Tips and Tricks

There are so many interesting tricks when using any software program, and MicroMD is no exception. Some of the following useful tips could help save you time and improve your financial bottom line.

OCR SCANNING

Should OCR scan the whole driver’s license in MicroMD PM or just the photo? By default the whole license is scanned, however, at the time of check-in you may only be looking to scan the picture itself. To accomplish this, the OCR picture box must be selected in order to just scan the picture.

To access this functionality, simply go to Maint > Patient. Open your patient detail window and click on the patient picture icon.

New Areas To Reconcile From CDA

CDA Reconciliation Window: In versions prior to Version 17, we only provided three sections to reconcile from a CDA. In Version 17 we added the remaining sections of the CDA to the reconciliation of an external file.You are now able to reconcile the following sections: Allergies/Reactions, Medications, Problems, Immunizations, Vital Signs, Family History, Social History, Procedures and Lab Results
