KEYNOTE

Kenneth T. Hertz, FACMPE

Principal Consultant MGMA Consulting

Ken has more than 25 years of executive and senior-level management experience in the healthcare field, with an additional 20 years in executive-level management work in the nonprofit sector. He has consulted single and multi-specialty practices as small as two FTE physician’s to large practices of up to 700 FTE physicians; both physician and corporate-owned. He has also had responsibility for practice valuations and acquisition and mergers.

Mr. Hertz’s consulting expertise encompasses strategic and operational areas, process improvement, patient-centered care, workflow and revenue cycle management, organizational development, and governance. He has successfully completed executive search assignments for groups ranging from four providers to nearly 200 providers. Mr. Hertz holds a BA in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive and Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. In 2005, his article “Front office: Asset or liability” received the ACMPE Edward B. Stevens Article of the Year Award.

Dave Henshaw

National Accounts Manager, Practice Insight

Dave came to Practice Insight with over 10 years of experience of sales, marketing, service, support and product management in the healthcare industry. Prior to this, Dave held marketing, management, and sales positions for a major publisher in the government marketplace working with local, state and federal entities in their communications needs.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.

Matthew Grope, CPPM

Manager, IT/Support Services

Matthew Grope, CPPM is the IT Manager at Medsys Consulting, Inc.  His main duties at Medsys include maintaining computer and the network systems at the office. He also supports Medsys clients with technical issues, sets up EDI enrollments, and ensures that the integration with the system and the clearinghouse is functioning properly.

Before joining Medsys Consulting, Mr. Grope graduated from YSU with a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology and he is a Certified Physician Practice Manager. He has been at Medsys Consulting for over 10 years.

Trisha Conway, RN, BSN

CEO, eHealth Consulting

Trisha Conway is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and has experience in many facets of the health care system, including hospital, home care, and physician offices. She has a wide range of expertise in areas such as Medicare Compliance and Billing, Meaningful Use, PQRS, EHR Optimization, EHR Workflow Design, Training, Analytics, and Vendor Integration. She has been involved in provider incentive programs since the first years of PQRS and has continued to expand her knowledge base as other incentive programs have become available. She has practiced as a regulatory translator for many years as health care providers work toward incorporating changing regulations into every day practice. Trisha was the project lead in the Meaningful Use Certification of one of the top 5 EHR vendors for 2011 and 2014 Certifications. She is a subject matter expert in MIPS/MACRA and has assisted over 200 providers successfully achieve and submit excellent performer status in the Quality Payment Program for 2017 and will do so again for 2018.

Bo Nielsen

Founder & CEO, AutoRemind Inc.

Bo Nielsen is the founder and CEO of AutoRemind Inc. In more than 15 years, he has been setting up patient engagement software for thousands of doctors in the US and around the world. That experience has given him insight into the best practice of using electronic communication between doctors and patients. Mr. Nielsen will be able to give you head start in patient engagement with real-life examples to inspire you to make your patient engagement strategy.

Shaun McAnulty

Senior Training & Implementation Specialist, Practice Insight

Shaun McAnulty attended Nebraska where he received a degree in business. After getting his feet wet in the software industry, Shaun went to Houston. From there, he began working at Practice Insight where he has worked for 5 years as a Sr. Training & Implementation Specialist. At PI, Shaun conducts webinars, trainings, works with the development team, and enjoys working with people and public speaking.

Peter Adler

Founder and Board Member of Data Guardian Pros

Peter Adler is the Global Cybersecurity Regulatory & Compliance lead for Accenture LLP where he advises on international cyber security compliance across the company’s offerings and services. Peter is also a member of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee (DPIAC) and serves as an advisor to the DHS Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer. He is a founder and Board member of Data Guardian Pros, a company that provides dentists and doctors with work-flow-based HIPAA/HITECH compliance platform and tools.

Peter attended Georgetown University Law Center, where in 1993 he received his Master of Laws (LL.M.), International Law, with distinction.  He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Mitchell Hamline College of Law in 1983 and his Bachelor of Science in Communications (B.S.C.) in 1978 from the Ohio University, Scripps College of Communications.  He is certified as an information privacy professional (CIPP/US) and was a certified information systems security professional (CISSP) from 2001 – 2011) (now inactive).
