EMR Training Form

A healthy practice allows you to focus on the business of healing; why not make sure your practice is running at an optimum level? During the client checkup, a member of MicroMD’s training staff will visit your practice, spending the time speaking to each provider as well as support staff to learn about your workflow and how MicroMD fits in. After our visit, we will provide you with a written assessment detailing all of our findings – practice strengths, adjustments made, recommendations, and improvements suggested.

Time Commitment: 4-8 hours 1 Day Onsite or 4-6 Hours via Phone (depending upon size of practice)

For when you’ve added a provider to your practice, this “high level” look at the EMR will cover all items that a new provider will need to get started. During this training, we will review the following components of MicroMD EMR:

EMR Desktop Filters Desktop Tools

Desktop Navigator Action Buttons Icons

Chart Information Common Lists Prescription Writing

User Preferences Appointment Book Labs and Interfaces

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours

For the new provider who desires a little more customization, this course covers all of the items from the Basic Class, plus:

Encounter, Template, and Common List customization Orders

Test Results Faxes in and out

Labs Referrals out

Referrals in Unidentified items

Time Commitment: 4-6 hours

For the new provider who wants to know all of MicroMD EMR’s bells and whistles, this course covers all of the items from the Basic and Intermediate Classes, plus:

• Screening and Prevention templates     • Advanced Template Customizations     • Reports

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours

Get new front desk staff off on the right foot with this brief training which covers:

Charts Other additional functions necessary for the position in your practice

Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours

Don’t be caught unprepared for attestation. This course will go over all the items you will need to successful attestsuccessfully attest for Meaningful Use. We will explain how all numerators and denominators are calculated based upon our documentation so that you understand how to help your practice meet its measures. Please note: This training is often paired with CIN Training and Patient Portal training.

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours

Get a refresher on using direct, secure messages through Surescripts CIN. Please note: This training is often paired with Meaningful Use and Patient Portal training.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours

Sometimes it’s necessary to jump a few rungs on the version ladder. When that happens, MicroMD can help. Upgrade Training is designed for clients who are upgrading more than one version up from where they are now (i.e. 6.5 to 10.0). For clients who are undertaking a traditional version update, we recommend watching the Update Tutorials on the MicroMD Lounge and reviewing the Update Guides, however if additional training is still needed, it is offered at the standard hourly rate.

All courses are offered both on-site and via the web for a standard hourly rate. Please note that on-site trainings will carry an additional cost to cover travel expenses. For an official quote and to begin the process of scheduling training, please complete and submit the below form.

Sure you learned all about the patient portal during set-up, but maybe you need a refresher. Have no fear, we can help with a brief review session. Please note: This training is often paired with Meaningful Use and CIN Training.
