Bruce Lieberthal
Vice President, General Manager, Henry Schein MicroMD
Henry Schein Inc., Vice President, Emerging Technologies
Bruce serves as the Vice President, Emerging Technologies for Henry Schein, Inc., reporting to Schein’s corporate CTO, Jim Harding. Bruce manages, and has P&L responsibility for Henry Schein MicroMD and the DDX business. Bruce joined Henry Schein Medical Systems in an advisory management capacity in mid-2011, and in his current role as General Manager, will guide the entire MicroMD operations. He has led the ConnectDental team for 2 years and works closely with the Corporate Business Development Group and Henry Schein Practice Solutions, advising them on technology opportunities.
He started as the Director of Product Management to the leadership team for Henry Schein Practice Solutions in Utah when Discus Dental Software was acquired by HSI in May 2007 and was promoted, in 2008, to Vice-President of Product Management and Development, managing all of HSPS’s software lines and development teams. Prior to Henry Schein, Bruce was the founder and author of Direct Vision Software, the General Manager of Discus Dental Software and has been a leader in software technology for 28 years. He practiced dentistry for 14 years between 1984 and 1997, and brings much knowledge to the Henry Schein team.
Doug Holt
Value Added Reseller Channel Manager
Doug Holt is a seasoned reseller channel veteran who brings years of healthcare IT expertise to Henry Schein MicroMD. As the Value Added Reseller Channel Manager, Doug is responsible for managing relationships with our Value Added Resellers (VARs). Prior to joining Henry Schein MicroMD, Holt served as the Director of Business Development for Healthport, the nation’s largest provider of ROI services and audit management and tracking technology. Prior to that, Doug was responsible for managing alternate sales channels with Lanier Healthcare, include telemarketing, internet sales and VARs. Holt has also held management positions with Compaq Computer Corporation and IBM.
Holt received his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Don Quackenbush
Director of Product Management
Don Quackenbush, director of product management, is responsible for new product rollouts for Henry Schein MicroMD. Don has been involved in physician practice information management since 1987, first with practice management software and later with electronic health records. Don maintains the Henry Schein MicroMD Product Roadmap, which details development objectives for upcoming versions. His team is responsible for keeping up with industry requirements, trends and deadlines.
Prior to joining the company in spring of 2008, Don had over 20 years of experience in the industry in various roles including sales, implementation, customer support and product management. Don received his bachelor of science degree in finance from Siena College, Loudonville, NY.
Kristen Heffernan
Marketing Manager
Kristen Heffernan, marketing manager, focuses on overseeing the marketing of Henry Schein MicroMD Practice Management and EMR software, while working to develop partnerships with healthcare facilities that seek to improve patient care and operational efficiencies. As a marketing manager, Heffernan is also responsible for helping clients grow their practices, drive customer purchasing behavior and stay ahead of competitors.
Heffernan previously was the marketing manager at Locum Medical Group, a physician staffing firm, where she led the marketing department in planning and executing national online and traditional marketing initiatives to generate revenue, expand business, and build long-term relationships with healthcare clients and physician candidates. She has also held a number of marketing positions across a variety of business-to-business segments over the past 11 years.
Heffernan earned her M.B.A. in marketing from University of Phoenix. She received her bachelor of science degree in industrial organizational psychology from John Carroll University, OH.
Shawn Kelley
Technical Services Manager
Shawn Kelley joined the Henry Schein MicroMD team in 1999 immediately following his graduation from Youngstown State University where he received his bachelors of science degree in applied science, majoring in computer information systems.
Starting as an entry level IT technician, Kelley has worked his way up through the company to now being the technical services manager. Kelley is responsible for leading the IT team in its maintenance of internal IT and for the design of the Henry Schein MicroMD network architecture. He also directs the installation services team, which is responsible for the development of installations, updates and upgrades of the MicroMD software line.
During his 12 years with Henry Schein MicroMD, Kelley has played a key role in developing and launching multiple Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records software systems. Most recently, Kelley has been a key figure in the development and design of MicroMD Hosted, an ASP environment which enables clients to connect to their software from virtually anywhere."
Tina Prestas
Manager of Quality Assurance
Tina joined Henry Schein as a Programmer/Analyst. During her seven years here she also was the Software Engineering Team Lead and was promoted to the Manager of Quality Assurance in June 2012.
With over 16 years of technical experience Tina has served in other roles such as Senior Applications Developer and Software Development Manager. Other experience includes Adjunct Instructor at a local technical Institute.
Tina Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in mathematics.
Heather Schneider
Supervisor of Training and Client Implementation
Heather Schneider joined the Henry Schein MicroMD team in 2005. She graduated from Youngstown State University where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in applied science, majoring in information technology.
Starting as a PM trainer, Schneider has worked her way up through the company to now being the Supervisor of Client Training and Client Implementation. Schneider is responsible for ensuring that implementation processes are followed. She also serves as a mentor to the training department team members and plays a key role in developing our training programs.
During her over 7 years with Henry Schein MicroMD, Schneider has played a key role in developing the training and implementation department. She has also been significant in changing the implementation process and created a proven consultative approach to EMR implementation. She has also worked closely with product management with new product design ideas bringing the voice of the customer to the team.
Carrie Ambrose
Supervisor Client Services
Carrie Ambrose joined the Henry Schein MicroMD team in 2002. Prior to her joining the company, she graduated from Youngstown State University with an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Professions. She has over 10 years’ experience in the physician office setting, in which she performed both clinical and administrative/billing duties.
Initially at Henry Schein, Carrie worked as a support/trainer for our direct clients and then transitioned to working solely with our VAR Channel Partners as their Level 2 support contact. Recently she transitioned to the Level 1 Team Lead position and most recently has been promoted to the Supervisor of Client Support. She is responsible for leading the Client Support department and oversees the support teams to ensure that client’s issues are being triaged and escalated appropriately and that a timely resolution is achieved. Customer satisfaction and communication are two of her main priorities.
John Raghanti
Manager of Product Development
John Raghanti is a seasoned Software Engineer who joined the Henry Schein MicroMD team in 2001. John’s career path started as an entry level Developer, and then EDI Coordinator where he created and organized the transition to the HIPAA compliant transaction sets that are currently in use today. In 2012 John was promoted to Manager of Product Development where he is responsible for managing a global development team and ensuring product quality.
Raghanti received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Youngstown State University. Prior to joining the company, John was the Youngstown area manager for a company based out of Los Angeles, California.
