MEDICARE CMS eRx INCENTIVE PROGRAM

Established by the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) in 2008, the CMS Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program allows eligible providers the ability to secure incentive reimbursements for completing e-Prescribing functions according to the program requirements. Additionally, providers not participating in the program can face payment adjustments/penalties for not e-Prescribing.
